In these pages we hope to set up something where anybody can put in their contribution without having to go through the bother to contact us and wait till we have time to put in your contribution at the proper place.
However, that does not mean just about anything can be said here. Contributions are still required to satisfy the rules of common decency and politeness. Flames, harangues, off-topic contributions and patently rude message will be removed. Also when writing a message please remember that overly large contributions may have to be removed to keep the size of the pages manageable. However, we'll not censor any contribution. We may decide to remove it but we will not modify it.
More than one topic can be discussed here. It is possible to send a mail with a request to add a new topic to the list. You must, with that request also send a first contribution or statement, that may be longer than the typical follow up message.
We open these discussion because in our opinion it would fill a gap between newsgroups and mailinglists. Please do not abuse the privilege. Neither of us here is a computer scientist. If this idea doesn't work out we'll be forced to shut it down in which case everybody looses. |
